NEURONTIN belongs to a class of medicines used to treat epilepsy and peripheral neuropathic pain (persistent pain caused by nerve damage).

The active substance in NEURONTIN is gabapentin.

NEURONTIN is used to treat

Peripheralneuropathic pain (persistent pain caused by nerve damage). Different pathologies can lead to peripheral neuropathic pain (mainly affecting the legs and/or arms), such as diabetes or shingles. The painful manifestations can be described as feelings of warmth, burning, stabbing, throbbing, stabbing, shooting pain, cramping, soreness, tingling, numbness, pinching and needle punches, etc.
